Fremont Art Walking & io9 Geek Blogging

Greetings, visitors! This is the first of (hopefully) many updates regarding the goings-on here at the studio. Coming off of an especially exciting weekend for me, I thought now would be a good time to integrate a blog component into this site so I can give a 'heads up' about upcoming events, answer your questions, and share some of my arts-related experiences with you.

This past Friday I had the honor of participating in the Fremont Art Walk in Seattle, WA, and although I've been making art for a long time now, it was my first public art walk and I couldn't have been more touched or encouraged by the turnout. The Fremont Art Walk happens every first Friday of every month, so I strongly encourage you to check it out when you get the chance! I'll be participating in next month's art walk as well, on May 6th, so come by the Space Building's 3rd floor from 6-9pm, say hi, and enjoy some refreshments and snacks.

Then on Saturday, just when I thought my weekend had already been an eventful  one, I heard back from the weekend editor for the website, Andrew Liptak, to whom I'd sent a sample of my work Friday morning. He wanted to do a feature article with a gallery and he had a few questions for me regarding my work, its influences, and what I thought about it. This was much more than I was expecting (I'd sent my samples in response to a solicitation for artwork to be used to accompany articles, not become them), not that I was complaining! I answered as best as I could and before I knew it the article was up Sunday morning. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Here's the link--> Not too shabby, eh?

I've gotten a few questions about selling prints and hope to have an update for you very soon! Please check back often, I will always try to have a little something new for you to see.
